Omega Speedmaster Reverse Panda ref. 310.30.42.50.01.004 Ceramic Bezel Lacquer Dial Full Set

Every Speedmaster conversation eventually circles back to the same handful of black-dialled references, and for good reason, it’s been the classic Speedmaster Professional variant for decades. It was the one worn on the Moon back in 1969, it was the one worn by Ed White on the first US spacewalk in 1965, and it was the one that Omega built their space-faring reputation on. However, the Speedmaster has always been more than a watch with only a black dial. From the variety of Speedmaster Reduced models that you can find, to the precious metal Speedmaster Professionals, the Speedy has a large cache of dial colours in its back catalogue, and so at the start of 2026 Omega decided to expand that catalogue with one more dial, a reverse panda. 

Not only a departure in colour, this new dial is also constructed differently. While the Speedmaster’s traditional black dial has a matte finish, this new dial noticeably features a glossy ink-like surface thanks to its lacquer finish. Boasting a two-piece construction whereby three holes are drilled into the black dial and three white-lacquered sub-register discs are fitted, there is a genuine depth to the ref. 310.30.42.50.01.004’s display that is then compounded upon by the presence of applied hour markers. 

A step above the traditional Speedy throughout, the ref. 310.30.42.50.01.004 also boasts a ceramic bezel insert instead of the Speedy’s traditional aluminium bezel insert which leans into the glossy dial that it surrounds and keeps its aesthetic rather cohesive. Powered by the manual-wind in-house cal. 3861, which is a Master Chronometer as certified to METAS’ standards, the 42mm ref. 310.30.42.50.01.004 presents its movement through its sapphire crystal caseback rather than the solid steel back of the original tool watch. 

Watches like this make everyone’s life very easy. This watch is in like-new condition, with it only being bought in early 2026 and probably only worn a small handful of times. It bears no obvious, large, or otherwise untoward signs of wear or tear. It comes exactly as it was when it left the AD, with everything such as its box, papers, full bracelet, booklets, etc. Its dial, bezel, case, crystal, and bracelet are all in like-new condition.
